Week 1:

I'm going out of my mind. The spring soccer season always starts too early for me. I have three more days until "tax season" is over and I'm working a million hours a week. Some of the parents stepped up and helped with a practice last week.

On Friday we had our first outdoor practice. We worked on some passing and throw-in drills for about 30 minutes. Then we did some shooting drills for another 15 minutes. We are sharing practice time with...

From time to time I find/get sent political cartoons that I find amusing. I'm going to post them here so I know where to find them. As a warning with a Democrat President and Congress and with myself being a conservative these will tend to be offensive to people who are Democrats. I am making no claim to the accuracy of what I'm going to post here, only that I found it amusing.

Times are tough

I'm a Boys under 14 soccer coach in the town I live in. My team is for the not so athletically gifted players. We are a travel team, but we play in the recreation division so it isn't as cut-thoat as the competive divsions. Of course this means that sometimes there are horrible mismatches as some teams have more talent then others. I have always found this interesting. In the competitive divsions most games are won by at most two goals. In recreation, it isn't uncommon to find one team win...
