Where are the Dragons? | Random Rants
This my first ever blog. Whatever blog* stands for. Ugly word IMO. Perhaps appropriate though since as far as I can figure out most blogs are simply something someone wants to ramble on about and toss out for the world to gaze at. Oh well, here goes.

While I was basically blind, could not read, watch TV, Use the computer for anything I started making up stories in my mind. Having cut my baby teeth on fairy tales, the blue, red, yellow, etc books and read Dante's Inferno before I was 15, (pictures included) I have loved fantasy for many years.

This blog is actually a game world I conceived and would love to make a game for if I had either the money or knowledge or both to do so. The world sticks in my mind and I keep returning to it.

* Found out from Felinoid in FAI that blog is a shortened form of weblog. Much nicer word.

This is a rant!

I am sick and tired of some, I stress some, Europeans who think they can make general blanket statements about citizens and residents of the United States of American and because the post a disclaimer it some how excludes other members of the forum they post in.

Let me make this clear most of the Europeans from quite a few different countries can differentiate between insulting everyone and insulting those who may actually deserve to be insulted. On Steam I currently am having discussions...

Religion, science, athiests, agnostics rant

Arguing religion is like swimming in an ocean filed with sharks. Courtesy, common sense, and rules of debate fly away faster than a bird chased by a cat. Ad hominem arguments become the norm and not the exception. The word stupid appears over and over. "How can you be so stupid as to believe that?" "How can you be so stupid as to not believe that?" First it is generalized. "Anyone who believes that or doesn't believe that is stupid." Then it degenerates into personal...

Where are the Dragons part three.

The eastern side of Jarbal still needs a lot of work but the frame is there and should be fairly easy to deal with.

Thai western side is actually the more interesting and mysterious. The southern most part is the land of the Boreans. The cold, ice and snow covered part gradually changing to the tundra region and then to a barren rocky region. Because Jarbal's mountains cut of the moisture bearing winds it is dry and at first seems to bear little life. The rivers that arise in the mountains...

Where are the Dragons, part two,

Hokay, I think we have the geography of the world roughed out and one race established in the bleak cold frozen southern region. Boreanland shall we call it at least for the moment.

On the eastern side of the continent, in the temperate region live the more human type folks. A loosely knit confederation of feudal states ruled, in theory at least, by a king. Intermittent feuds between various barons break out from time to time but on the whole the area is fairly peaceful/ Raids in the...

Where are the Dragons?

The world of Cameron is similar to our Earth. It has one satellite moon and a comet which, every 150 years. passes close enough to cause some climatic disruption. It has 365 days in the year divided into 5 months of 31 days and 7 months of 30 days. The week has seven days of 24 hrs and for the moment I will use the standard English week of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

A person from Earth would feel disoriented. Things would seem familiar yet not...
