Good grief. I was reading an article about standards of care slipping in residential homes (I used to work in a care home and I'm shovked at some of the stuff that goes on).

24 years and I'm still angry!

OK, 24 years ago my dad died. He was 36, I was 2, my sister was 4 months old and it was the night of my mums birthday.
I don't remember much of him. Just bits and pieces. I remember sitting on his knee while he put my socks on and he was so busy talking to my mum that he put two socks on the same feet and then started looking for the missing sock!

Anyway, I was watching TV with Rob tonight and a woman lost her father. He was supposed to die years ago but got a second chance....

Fat and Proud

I have a wonderful home, husband and child. I enjoy my life. I'm fat.

Most of us fatties say we would love to lose weight or that their weight problem is genetic or it's societies fault. However, I used to be thin and it was RUBBISH! Now I'm fat and it's because I eat too much and don't work out much.

In order for me to stay thin I was doing 16 hours of martial arts training a week, watching what I ate and constantly worried about the way I looked.

I'm really crap. I have no idea how to make friends. I just don't know how. I can make 'friends' with people on the internet because there's no pressure. You can be whoever you want and it doesn't matter because if the people you speak to judge you, you never have to see them.
I can't do it in real life. I stutter, make dumb jokes, make an arse of myself and just end up by myself.
As I grew up I had 3 friends. One lived opposite me and we were the only kids the same age on our street....

I think I may have totally blown it with an old friend of mine. We met through work and hit it off straight away. She was with this bloke who seemed a bit creepy bit nice enough when you got to know him. Anyway, after a few months we got to be really close friends with another girl we worked with and the 3 of us would hang out all the time. So, one day Fiona came into work in tears, the creepy guy had been an arse and threatened her and she'd left him. I was living with my mum so see stayed at Lauras...
