40K British Grand Tournament: The Finals

Righty-ho, as promised, here is a blog entry about the 40K Grand Tournament Final that I attended over the past weekend. Although, I think they're calling it the 'Throne of Skulls' instead of 'Grand Tournament' now. Regardless, it is still the same thing.

I got a few pictures from the two days, but my father has the camera with them on, so I'll hopefully get a proper look at them once the Easter break starts in a few weeks.

Ok, for those not aware, the Biel-tan are a sub-division of the 40K Eldar race. While I could babble for a while trying to explain, it would probably just be easier to refer you to this link.

I've played 40k for quite some time (given that I played before 3rd edition, that would be pre-1998, which is over half my life) and while I started with Marines and have been tempted by shiny new armies along the way, Eldar are the only one I've really gone for. As such, I have far too many...

Doing the Du: A conclusion of sorts

Greetings once more. As several of you are aware, I'm currently a student (now in second year) and, as such, moved back down for the start of term recently. Things have proved to be rather more hectic than I expected and the 'schedule' should perhaps have been referred as the 'dream'. While I have tried to do what I can, saying that I was anywhere near the training times would have been an exaggeration.

Of course, misfortune rarely travels alone and it looks increasingly...

Doing the Du: Week 9 & 8

Greetings once more. The more observant amongst you (or at least anyone who might read this) should have realised that there was no update on progress last week. Fear not- I have not given up on my goal.

The truth was that I was away at a badminton training camp for the week doing a lot of, unsurprisingly, badminton. Anyone who might be foolish enough to believe badminton is that nice, easy game where you hit a shuttle around in the garden during the summer really ought to think...

Time again for another brief update. Things are progressing much as planned- last week got a bit draining, but that wasn't exactly unexpected. Onto a recovery week this time:

Running - 90 minutes
Biking - 130 minutes
