Yeah, my more recent work actually. I wrote 3 FAQs for that game over on GameFAQs. The Skill FAQ is my most viewed.

I got a good deal through a friend and it was more than enough for the games I mostly play, but once I got a new video card I played better ones and pushed it to the limits I think, it only lasted me about 3 months. It died while I was playing Sims 3...maybe it was a sign not to play girls games :D

I am hoping its actually the motherboard, or ram or something else and not the video card, just been too lazy to get around to fixing it, been using a flatmates laptop instead, its basically like my computer, same specs mostly etc. Should try out Stalker or something on it...

I sometimes feel that I cannot do much to change the world for the better, despite the knowledge I have, and I have the problem of people not listening to me much, the average person I know switches off as soon as I talk about things unrelated to fashion, television, pop music or entertainment movies.

Anyway, I seem to have burnt out a video card, and I cannot afford to replace it at the moment, so I am stuck with one of my flatmates laptops. I was wondering why my computer was generating so much heat for months, turns out that just before it died it was at 50 degrees c, and then it died. Maybe I push my cards too much...and I cant imagine that being the case, since I rarely play anything that isnt an rpg and i dont anything that made within the past 5-6 years. Im quite annoyed, I was getting quite into KOTOR2, and now I cant go back to it...

****ing awesome, thank you so much :)

One of my flatmates and I talk about this sort of stuff often, and I have encouraged him to go to university with me to study biology. He wants to help people become completely self-sufficient, and I want to educate people on the beauty of life and the beauty of biological evolution. So thanks again... :D

Oh no...I hate it when that happens, curse us and our species lack of foresight! :P

Well, I am still in the same jobs I had before, ID support working and landscaping/painting/general handymanning etc...just been reading a lot, playing a lot of Sims 3...yeah yeah its a girls game, I know...but its pretty addictive. Been playing rts and rpgs a lot, just basically catching up on what Ive missed out on for a while. Read Richard Dawkins latest book in 3 days, very light reading for me. But yeah, just been taking it easy and avoiding debates with people about why evolution is real and is the only explanation for the diversity of life and that no gods interfere in it in anyway...you know, the usual. Too stressful to debate all the time, people just dont want to accept what they dont want to accept, as corny as that sounds, its true. Just been enjoying life, making the most of things, and smoking up a lot ;) Happy easter to you too, btw...and good that you got a new job sort of :)

orientation went well, things are good, and i still have the job. im finding the same thing with my research things, there is only one professor in my biology department with research areas that interest me. i could have stuck with computers years ago, but i opted not to because i eventually found it boring. i have (outdated) computer engineering qualifications, and i had a small business for a while doing that, but it was so boring. also, i got a B for my genetics and evolution exam recently, which is nice since i got a D for it last year :D. got one this friday on behaviour, ecology and conservation, and im not looking forward to it...

i have to redo my orientation tomorrow, to learn the procedures. i dunno if i want to keep working with people like this, its easy money, but id rather work in a lab somewhere applying my knowledge gained from my classes. im really into evolutionary ecology at the moment :D

well, i didnt get fired, i just got given my first and final warning about following procedures. i just went into the meeting with my tail between my legs and successfully convinced them that i understood everything and all that. caught the security firm from the mall out in a lie too, they told my manager that i told them not to tell my work because i would be fired, and i was really angry about that, and my friend who supported me in the meeting, also works at the same place, said that hes known me for a few years and i wouldnt have said anything like the things the security firm told my manager. so that got me off the hook. also i did a lot of explaining how much stress ive been under at the moment with about 5 other huge things happening in quick succession and how im not sleeping well, and they were sympathetic towards me :D

its all because i dont follow their rules, and thats fair enough too, they need to have paperwork for audits, but its a bit restrictive not being allowed, and being punished even, for using my innitiative at this job. i cant handle too many rules and regulations.

had a meeting last friday with one of my managers and like the human resources manager about losing my downy guy in a big shopping mall for 2 hours. since the security found him and he was ok, but angry, i didnt think it was a big deal, but nooo, its not good enough for my organization. also they told me that one of my guys made his way home from the otherside of town alone, taking him 2 hours to get home. so now im being done for misconduct for the downy guy and gross misconduct for that other guy. they dont realise though that the guy isnt intellectually disabled, he has just been labeled as being such since he was a kid and he never bothered acting smarter to convince people otherwise. and well, looks like im getting fired on wednesday. on a brighter note i just had a midcourse test on genetics and evolution, and i got to write an essay discussing the evidences for evolution as part of the test...totally owned it :D

That sucks mans. I lost my job with a downy guy because he ran away in a mall so that he could buy groceries from the supermakert to give to his mother as a present so that him and I could go to the game arcade place. He would always lie to me and then tell his mother I was lying to him, but she knew what really went on. Had no trouble with that mother, she was just overbearing and women like that who are dominant scare me. So now Im at 3 hours a fortnight for that job, only working with a guy who is a bit slow but comes from a horrid white trash family in the ghetto, and Ive got to show him how normal people behave etc.

Slight autism huh? One of my sisters is a speech and language therapist, and during the time when her class studied autism etc, she was convinced that I was on the spectrum. She was convinced that there was something 'not right' with me. I asked one of my friends who was in her class and she laughed and said that I wasnt autistic in any way. At the time I was depressed because of the state of the world, that's it. I too take pride in letting things slide off me. It is a very very very rare occurance for me to get angry in any way, in fact, the only time I got angry to the point of being furious in the past year or so was when my friend decided to be Christian. Seems a bit coincidental that I write on a desk in evolution class "Christians are stupid and I dont respect them, thats right, I just have sex with them", as a parody of 'Show me your genitals' by Jon Lajoie, and then a couple of days later she tells me that I will be 'astounded' to know that she is becoming a Christian.

The mother of the guy was really strange. Everytime she was nice to me she was about to complain to my manager. The guy has microencephaly, so he has a wide range of problems that seem to fluctuate from day to day, and one of them is memory. He can be talking to me about something and just stop and say 'yeah something like that', even if he is halfway through a word. He gets embarrassed by it. Also, when he cant remember something he tries to make up something he thinks is credible so that he doesnt loose face over it too. Like when Mike Tysons kid died he told me that it was David Tua, an NZ boxer, who died. He is also convinced that Chuck Norris was a wrestler in the 80s, he thinks that Randy Savage = Chuck Norris. So he was telling his mum all sorts of crazy things that never happened, and she was so strange that she would complain about it to my manager. Apparently there is a bunch of problem parents, and she is one of them.

Well I appear to be in a similar position you are in with regards to jobs. One of my guys mothers kept ringing up my manager complaining about me, making up lies and everything. So I lost that job. Apparently its widely known that the woman is unstable, so my manager just removed me from the job to keep me safe. The mother creeped me out to the max, something about her made me cringe and left me feeling uneasy.

I hope its the first one, I know she had been going to the youth group for a while, and she told me to come to the easter camp thing, I wasnt interested and made it clear. She isnt a fundie, just a moderate apparently, she still does evolution, geology and astronomy with me. Funny thing is that she was the only person who isnt related to me that wished me a happy birthday on my birthday during the day time before my get together later that night. I dunno, I got pretty angry when she decided to become a christian, her reasons were not really sincere, it was just so random...

Well, that can be one of two things:
      1) Her fanaticism was just a sign that she was preoccupied with the issue.
      2) She wanted you to react that way, because she doesn't like you...:o
I had a number 2 a while back, with a girl being very interested in me and where I live. After she came to visit, we had a nice chat, and I thought we were becoming friends. Then I asked her for her e-mail address, and she calls me to say that she never checks her e-mail anyway (she said before that she's online often), and then proceeds to say I should become member of a student club, and I should rely less on people who have little time for me...! If she wasn't out to insult me, she's pretty dumb:p.
So I see her in karate class, and I'm polite to her. That's all, no point in making a scene, right?
