Oh, you're a third time father - I think you would have this stuff down pat by now. Two observations about parenting that I have discovered:

1. More with first time parents, but a lot of people think this baby they are going to have is a blank slate, which can be etched and shaped however they desire. While it is a baby, it is also a person, with his or her own set of likes and dislikes, and it's own personality that it has from a very early age. Just because you want it to work a certain way doesn't mean that the baby will agree, and thus plans may change. (But seeing as how this is baby #3, you likely already know this.)

2. Regardless of the gender, you love what you get, and you take care of what you get to the best of your ability.
