Sorry, Rawgrim, but after looking at that video, he's making stuff up. It's well done, vague associations are made up between unconnected figures, but it's all makebelieve. Additionally, the old testament, at least, was officially closed about 300 B.C. and therefore must be older than you're suposed author. On top of that, we have copies of every book in the new testament that pre-date 300 AD, most of them predate 100 AD.

How can the bible be written 300 years after the events in the new Testament when they have found portions of the bible from 200BC? I'm also quite interested in which Greek king you are talking about, I didn't even know that there were any Greek kings in 300AD.

Uhm...yes it is. If you double check everything in history books, and other sources. The video contains links to proof. It is also a historical fact that a greek king wote the bible, quite some time after the supposed events in the new testament. And Jesus is originally a greek name as well. There are tons of proofs out there, but not for people who just ignore them.

I see this as a discussion though, not an argument. I hope you do the same.

Oh, I watched that before. I couldn't stand more than a few minutes of it, the spooky music, the echo effects, the music and the incoherent nihilistic ramblings at the beginning really tick me off. Most of the books they refer to are really obscure, very hard to seriously read and all have the same thing in common. They already laid down the link between Jesus and astrology. The fact that they don't refer me to actual hieroglyphics that tell the story of Horus and his 12 disciples, but refer me to dozens of 1000 page books telling the same thing as the movie did, does not really support their credibility.

Whatever the videos tell you, it doesn't contain proof that the bible was made up. A video of 90 minutes is not long enough to prove that it was.

Just check out Youtube.com. Search for "Zeitgeist religion". its a 3 parter documentary. Then doublecheck all info you you get in it. I did, and its actually true what they say in it. Its all based on egyptian religion\myth.

Sorcerer's Place is a project run entirely by fans and for fans. Maintaining Sorcerer's Place and a stable environment for all our hosted sites takes a large amount of time and money, and apart from the little income advertising brings in, we don't get paid anything except for the percentages we get from online stores for selling various items through the links on our site.
