The 1993 version of Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space has been open source since 2005 but somehow there hasn't been a thread made on it yet. It is a computer game version of a board game Liftoff! and allows you to play as the administrator of the space program of the United States or Soviet Union between the years 1957 and 1977. Both the original DOS versions and an updated version capable of running on modern operating systems are available for download on several websites.

There is also a more recent 2014 version of the game available for purchase on Steam, Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager (source).
