    Yes, I've talked to people who have lived there for many years (my wife's aunt works for your republican local representative), and the Common Wealth of Virginia set it up that way to increase its tax base.

    Anyway, I still say there's no basis for the 'racist' claim behind these comments. There are plenty of people that dislike Obama for other reasons.

    I've been gone a while, and feel the need to clarify my position. This guy said something stupid in the spur of the moment. It was stupid, rude, uncalled for and all around inappropriate. He's paid a heavy price for his slip of the tongue. So did Letterman. But IMHO that's where it ends. I'm aware of horrible things being done with guns and such. But this guy's off the cuff joke can hardly be construed as seriously advocating Negro hunting, or Dem hunting, or any such thing. React strongly to Columbines and Unabombers to your hearts content, but clumping this guy in with them is a far stretch.

    That said, I'd never vote for him.

    Probably he just dropped the pretences because he eventually found a well paying audience that not only bought his tickets but also took it for real and found him perfectly representing what they thought. He must have nothing but contempt for his audience.

    By bashing Obama's 'socialism' he is just recycling his old comedy shtick.

    For all of you Fox News haters out there. This one is for you. I'm sure they will get fined, but this may be one of the funniest things I've seen on the internet. I love the co-anchors eyes.




    EDIT: I stand corrected, it wasn't Fox News, it was a Fox affiliates news broadcast. It still funny though.

    ... WTF? What on earth was he even saying? I mean, I'm guessing that either we misheard him, and he was actually (trying to) say something else, or that it somehow connected to some story that he had just been doing or something. I mean, who would just up and say that?!

    I agree with NOG: What does "keep f'ing that chicken" even mean?!?! Is that some cliche that I've simply never heard of. He was talking to the weatherman apparently, but I have no idea what that statement in that context actually means.
