[IMG] BG2's loading screens said that Neverwinter Nights would allow you to import your BG2 character. However when i started it i saw that this was not the case. The company said that they did so because of the change in rules from 2nd E to 3rd. But if you think this through there is a very simple way of changing a 2nd E character to 3rd. Many have done so in real table RPGs because they wanted to try the 3rd E but also wanted the characters they had for so long. Bottom line is
Neverwinter Nights Doesn't allow you to use your BG2 character. Is there another way to do so (Ex. a BG2 to NWN character converter?)

There is no way. Nor is there any point, as you have to start NWN with a new character anyway for it to be at all challenging, and you get to build your character at the beginning.

I remember being disappointed about this myself. I got quite attached to my BG character over the course of the four games and it seemed like a pretty neat idea to export it to NWN. But I suppose starting NWN with a character of 35th level wielding +6 weapons and wearing +3 full plate armour, boots of speed, rings of protections, etc, etc, would have made the game a little *too* over the top.
