Hmm. Does this mean no de'Arnise romance? Bah.

Still, jcomton is well known for his high quality stuff. It's interesting to see that ten years after it came out, BG2 is still attracting modders...pretty much every NPC who has a name is joinable now...hmm.

Wonder when they'll make a mod based on that ettin in the Sahuagin gladiatorial ring.

EDIT: Holy crap de'Arnise romance released. Looks like I have to reinstall BG2 now!

You would be referring to the Mongo mod, I believe. :good:

Speaking of mods, hopefully TBH will be modable!

    You got me there. :p

Given the fact that jcompton and Weimer both started out as modders, I don't doubt that it'll be moddable. I hope they make the game dialogue-based, but seeing as how it's a *Baldur's Gate* spiritual successor I don't think that'll be the case. Oh well.

Is this game project still alive ?

There was no update of the Planewalker games homepage since February.

    Weimer is God

Nice they're making a BG2-like game. We haven't seen that in years. Hope to hear more info when it becomes available.

Great news! As far as I´m concerned, the devs not being shackled to other people´s IP is a boon, even though I have come to appreciate the D&D 3.x ruleset. Also, for me the ability to create and develop all or most partymembers from scratch is a big part of the fun. I´m looking forward to this.:D

Huh, I only really heard of this yesterday while browsing these forums. I have to say that I'm divided.

Yes, I absolutely love the BlackIlse games, and I just started BG2 yet again. But these games are special to me because they're old, and classic. They belong to an era of CRPGs that seems to have passed now. They're not only good, they're still good, something that can't be said about a game that's just coming out.

That being said, I do have hope for this project. I don't care about ruleset or setting as much as whether it will be able to engage me through story, character, and immersion.

Heh, when you said TBH I assumed it stood for "The Black Hound," aka Baldur's Gate 3. I got a little excited there ...
