Influence with the NPCs

How do you figure out where you stand with the NPCs? I keep on seeing that I'm either gaining or losing influence with them.

Oh, you'll know at the very end where you stand!

If you really want to know and also be able to change the influence you have:

Open the console (i.e. hit the key left of the "1" key that typically has the "~")
Type "DebugMode 1" into the console (no quotes)
Type "rs Kr_influence" into the console
Close console (i.e. hit that key again)
Interact with the dialog box that popped up. If you choose a name it will tell you what influence you have and allow you to adjust it.
When done, open the console again, type "DebugMode 0", and close the console

And there is another way:

In every savegame folder there is a file named globals.xml.

You can open that in Notepad or Internet Explorer and search for the word influence.
