I have a Hewlett Packard computer with Windows 7 Purchased Feb. 2010 so it is fairly new.
In both Oblivion and Fallout 3 the Tilde key that accesses the console is overridden. On Bethesda they say something about detaching something from the USP. For Oblivion there was a mod "Gods Ring" I believe it was called that made it possible to access the Console with out doing whatever Bethesda is talking about. Sorry I didn't write down the exact information but can get it if necessary. Does anyone know if there is a similar mod for Fallout 3? |

I did some digging but not conclusive as to this is it
One said: Go to the 'my documents/my games/oblivion' folder and find the oblivion.ini file. Find the line bAllowConsole, and see what it's set to. It should be 1 An Other suggested to check the language of the keyboard. A third spoke about a media centre sensor that caused it. take out the usb plug begore starting Oblivion. You can try these and hopefully it works. Trying does not hurt. |

Thank you for trying to help. Oblivion does have a mod that corrects the problem but I haven't found one for Fallout yet. |

I have the same problem on one of my computers and I've been out of luck so far. I've been told of a fix:

I've stumbled on this mod: Console Key Binder. It looks like it could be a better way to solve this problem with the console.
