Wow. Just on the web -- Anne McCaffrey passed away.

I really enjoy her books and writing style. The Pern series was absolutely brilliant.

That's too bad. I have many of her books. I think the latest novels have been mostly done by Todd (her son) with her input though.

In a way her books spoiled me when I was younger. I remember back then I was blissfully unaware that there were indeed really bad fantasy writers out there...

I still love the Rowan series and the Pern series. I'm more than a little sad to know she's gone.
