It seems to be a very dangerous type of Acid Snow you have used this year. As you can see, it corrodes the Reply and Preview buttons and the upper part of the frames.

(I have only seen this in Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7. It doesn't happen in Firefox; I haven't tried other browsers.)

It just doesn't seem like the holidays without DotW spewing foul obscenities at the cool Christmas smileys and nice snow....

Wait ... what happened to the Christmas smileys on the main page? I swear I saw them this weekend but now their gone....

Monty, haha, that's great, acid snow... I think this issue is limited to IE9; at least I haven't heard anyone report it thus far. The fact is, there isn't a single decent snow script out there that would be 100% compatible with every single browser. I've looked around and this one looks the most realistic by far, but it's quite ancient, so no longer updated. I'll see if our resident code wiz can do something to make it work properly in IE9 too though.

T2, if you don't see them your browser is still showing you old cached images. Hit Ctrl + F5 on the page in question.

FYI, catbert says that the acid snow is a browser rendering glitch so there's no easy fix for it. There's likely an option somewhere in W7 to disable some graphical feature of IE that will cancel out the acid, but unless it's a major annoyance you might as well just leave it as it is.

It's no big deal. The buttons refresh if you pass the mouse pointer over them, so they only look eaten away when you aren't about to press them.

Heh. Do the google "let it snow" search, and then after a few seconds, hold down the left mouse button and drag the cursor across the screen.
