Merry Christmas!

I do not come here often any more (which is something that needs fixing but fixing takes time) and some of you may actually not know me. That is fine, though it's still nice to meet you. This is not important right now anyway, since I want to wish you all:

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

And a Happy Hanoukkah to all those who celebrate it (a few names come to mind, you know you are special to me).

May the new year be better than the old, and each new one better than the previous one, and Christmas invariably a time of joy. Joy but also a deeper reflection, especially for all who are inclined this way.

I wish I could hug you but can't really with all this online thing!
