ToEE won't run, but it installed...?

Hey guys!
Im running windows 7, 64 bit.
installed ToEe from cd's. installed fine. 100%. i installed it to c:/games:/TOEE
and a bunch of things are in there like that.
once install was done, it said would u like to launch. i hit yes but it just took me back to windows.
I tryed putting in compatability mode(2000 and xp)
both gave me same effect.
when i click to run game(even as admin) the screen goes black, i can see the mouse/cd cursor running for a sec. then back to windows desktop. no game running at all.
I also installed patchs from
http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/ToEE/index_misc.php
1,2,3

still doesnt work

really fed up with this. can anyone help please?

I have the exact same probem as McNutta. I've installed all the patches and am running in compatibility mode with adminsitrator priveledges. I've disabled visual themes and desktop composition, and even tried running in 256 colors and in 800x600 res. Nothing works. The game immediately crashes to the desktop. Can anyone help?

Try installing this:

Circle of Eight

It comes with tons of tweaks and Bug-fixes ( the official ones are not enough ) and it's own Launcher!
You don't have to play the new content if you don't like it. But the Bug-fixes and Tweaks alone will make ToEE a more stable experience!

I suggest you try it. Follow the instructions carefully.
