Durlag's tower bug

i have slain the demon knight and then bashed the magical mirror but when i go to talk to dalton dialogue will not initiate. usually i just quick save and reload real quick and the dialogue will initiate , this time however i cannot get anything. furthermore daltons friend just outside the demon knight room will only give the "i cant go in there..." dialogue. has anyone had this issue and was there a fix? anyway to "force" dialogue?

did you talk to the mom before the adventure?

yeah i had the quest and everything it was just some bug or some such. i ended up reloading from way back and doing everything over again and was able to finally talk to dalton.

Can't remember ever having trouble with talking to Dalton, Wouldn't think he was important enough to want to reload, but you did.

But one of the nice things about the BG series is that when you replay you can try stuff out just to see what happens. I got Dalton to kill the Demonknight which I thought was a nice twist on the storyline.
