Morrowind problem

Hello all

I am currently making my way through Morrowind IV for the....seventh time? I keep mucking up! I've just tried to become Hortator and I've got the vote of all the councillors but Crassius Curio now won't talk to me. I gave him a kiss before I went off to get the votes and he said, "Right, have my vote" and then I went off and got all the others. I've gone back to him and when I speak to him he keeps demanding I do him a favour and says "Goodbye". It doesn't give me any option to talk to him or tell him that I've done the votes or anything.

Have I got to start all over again?

I love this game, but it's not really a free roaming game - I managed to kill some bloke who is vital to the whole game once whilst I was still a pretty minor character. I find you really have to be careful about where you go and what you do.

Any help would be greatfully recieved.

Uncle Crassius is a epic legend.

Did you already strip for Uncle Crassius?
He likes that regardless of the gender.
Remember this is the jolly bloke that wrote 'The lusty Argonian Maid'!

Remove all clothing, rings and trinkets and try talking to him again!

Oh you're joking! When he didn't ask me to strip, I thought I'd bought a version where I didn't have to! OK, will try that (wanders off muttering about 'the things I have to do to get made Hortator, never like this on Stronghold', mumble mumble).

HHHOOOOORRRAAAYYYYY!!!!!!! He liked it. I forgot a ring, but then removed it and he NAMED ME HORTATOR!!!! Right, just have to do two more houses, four tribes and....and I don't know what, I've not got this far!!!

And now I've discovered "Oblivion" which means I may be spending a bit of time on that now.....
