New Chatroom Testing

I need a few test bunnies for our new chatroom... go to http://www.sorcerers.net/indext.php and you'll see a bar at the bottom of your browser window. You can join the "sorcerers" chatroom there or chat privately with anyone who is online. If there's no one there the moment you come in don't run away - just keep a tab with the chatroom open until someone else joins.

We'll be retiring the IRC chatrooms as they've fallen into disuse. This is a much more modern and elegant solution.

It's like a messenger thingey. It's much better as you get a little red notification at the bottom of the page when someone speaks so you don't have to keep jumping back in and out...well, you won't once it's functioning on every page!

For anyone else who is on the Firefox beta update channel and is running Firefox 15 right now, the chat looks... awful. Seems to be fine on other browsers but something they did with this one just breaks it in half

Checked it out yesterday and when running Firefox and Chrome next to each other, I noticed that not all messages were displayed. Some things people said showed up in one browser, and other things showed up in the other (majority of messages showed up in both tho). Not even everything I typed showed up in the other browser. So I would like to file a bug report

Yes, it's hard to get people from all over the world in at the same time, especially just for a test... I'm in there right now and will be for a short while, but basically I've done the testing I needed to do until I get some more bugfixes from the developers.

That's actually due to the latest "fix" I got from the chat devs... which seems to have nuked the whole thing. I'm waiting on them to get back to me with some info on what's up. When it does come back though, it'll be on the forums, I'm done with the other page.

Interesting, when on my iPad the chat bar at the bottom shows up and gives the number of people in chat, but I can't actually do anything. Well that's not true, the "hide chat" button works but nothing else does.

The preloaded iPad version of Safari. It doesn't handle flash at all, and in most cases JavaScript doesn't work too well.
