Burlew only did it to promote a reprint-- he's written about it ad nauseum on his site. I can't bring myself to care. After the last cluster <love> experience I had with Ookadook, I would rather have hot pokers inserted into my rectum than deal with them.

He ran a kick-start drive, and when funds reached a certain point he promised he'd publish a new strip each day for a week. He's also further promised to repeat it at least once this year, with another 7 (or 8?) days straight. I guess also seeing over a million dollars pour into his bank account would be a good motivation.

I threw a couple of hundred dollars his way on kickstarter.com and grabbed all seven books printed so far. Something I've been meaning to do for ages - grabbing a bunch of free-bees in the process was a good motivation (current count at 8 pdf story strips (each around 8 pages long), 400 stick-figure monster print-outs, one Greenhilt magnet, one 8x10 inch art print, two sheets of stickers, two hit-point note-pads and two colouring books).

Don't know if anyone has checked the site recently, but there's an announcement from Rich's wife that he had an accident and really screwed up his hand. Don't expect anything new for probably 6 weeks, but they expect it to heal.

Yeah - there apparently was a contingent of readers that had called that a while ago. Surprised me in the strip before this one because I generally don't follow the threads on the forum at all. I read the one for 870 and was pretty intrgiued, especially when Rich confirmed it in that thread.
