Can a ranger dual class?

I can't seem to get the option. What is the reasoning behind this? Or am I doing something wrong?

I don't give him/her a kit so that's not it.

You can only dual to cleric. You need a 15 in str and dex (possibly con as well) and a 17 in wis.

You can install the "happy dual classing" mod in either ease-of-use or it's successor the G3 tweaks.
Alternately, you can make your own. Edit the 2da file abdcdsrq.2da and abdcscrq.2da files.

My thanks to both of you. However, SlickRCBD, I don't trust my messing with files in that manner. But thanks for the thought. I do appreciate it.

I guess I should be starting another topic? "What classes can't you dual class with?"
I just found out the Bard is one.

Alternately, you could also edit the DualClas.2DA if you want to dual a Stalker or Archer to a cleric (these ranger kits are not allowed to dual with ToB installed, even though they were allowed to dual in SoA).
