Looking for a specific mod please

It's been a few years so I have no clue where it is. Sorry. I've scanned through a lot of mod listings but have had no luck.
The mod adds upgrades to existing items Like Valygar's armor or Mazzy's sword for example. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can find it

You may be talking about Improved Anvil. There are a number of companion equipment upgrades included in that mod. This mod will also increase the overall difficulty of the game far beyond that of the vanilla game, and far beyond that of any other difficulty increasing mod. Last I heard, you had to donate to Black Wyrm's Lair in order to download the latest version of this mod. It appears that an older version of the mod can be downloaded for free here: http://dragonshoard.blackwyrmlair.net/download.php

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but thought I'd pass it along. I believe that very early versions of IA did little to make the game more difficult, so it may be that you are remembering one of the very early versions of the mod.

dmc's suggestion seems the most likely, unless you also happen to like to install mods that increase the difficulty of the game, in which case Improved Anvil might be what you're looking for.

Dang!! It's not it either. Some items were enhanced and most others are not

Oh well. Such is life right?

Weimer's Item Upgrade is one of the best mods out there. Even if it's not the one you had before, I can't recommend it enough for spicing up the game.
