Why does a Dragon Deciple need a Con over 16?

They get 4 bumps in Con as they level but it's pointless since they only get the normal con max bonus equal to a mage which is a miserable (16 Con) +2 HP / level. At least that's what it's saying in the box down on the bottom of the left hand side when looking at the "Record" page???
    Am I missing something?

Once you CON reaches 20, you gain natural regeneration. Not much, I believe something like 1 hp per turn, but enough to heal you when you have a lot of travel time or during rest.

DDs were not well thought IMO. I like the other abilities, but + to Con and d6 don't add much since they are not melee damage dealers and don't dual-class.

Yes this is one of those times where they took a 3e idea and ported it too directly into a 2e system with no thought on what it would do. Personally I think if they gave them fighter HP bonuses for con that would be a nice advantage for them that would help them be as good as regular sorcs.

Anyone know if this was changed to reflect the additional HP bonus that fighters get? Has it changed with the EE?
