I'm playing through the Baldur's Gate series for about the 13th time and just noticed something. Sarevok uses an alias wherein he spells his name backwards - Koveras. Well, Sarevok's ful name is Sarevok Anchev. Anchev is very near Vecna backwards. I googled it and found nothing. Am I the only one to notice this? It may mean nothing, but I found it very interesting.

Yeah, someone mentioned this way back.
Vecna is/was and infamous Mage/Lich in the D&D Greyhawk verse. A Planewaker too! And Kovera's Ring is a artifact that can be found in the BG games! But I don't think that Sarevok has any relation to them. To me it seems that they simply used Anagrams to create fancy names out of existing ones. |

I don't think Venca was related either. IMHO Bhaal is the only divine relation Saravok has.
isn't being a mortal progeny of Bhaal enough? |
