Abazigal is wearing Imoen's belt?!

    No idea what mod or glitch caused this, but after countless reloads and not killing Abazigal, even with the cheesey tactic of EIGHT spike traps, I CLUA'd him into the party and checked him out. Low and behold, he is wearing Imoen's belt twice, once as a girdle and once as a ring, rendering him unkillable.

    Of course I cheat coded the items out and went on to kick his ass, but has anyone seen ANYTHING like this?

    If I look at his .cre file, he does appear to have a belt (SAREVIMM) (don't know if it's the one Imoen is wearing), a ring that looks like a belt (BHAALHP1) and another ring (DRAGRING)

    This appears to be standard and shouldn't make him unkillable. There is some script that triggers when he gets down to 1 HP, where he gives his dieing words. The belt and ring that looks like a belt are also worn by Sendai, btw. Perhaps the script that is supposed to trigger isn't triggering, thus making him not die?

    If you reduce his HP too quickly, he won't die because the script doesn't trigger. Same thing happens if you use time stop and nuke him before he's had a chance to speak.

    It's a glitch because the devs didn't expect characters to be as strong as they can be. Clearly, they had never played D&D with munchkins.

    More like they didn't think they could munchkin as much in their game.
    Still, you'd have thought they'd have learned that lesson when they went on to make Neverwinter Nights, but I've run into that same problem of scripts not triggering, particularly when using an assassin mix-in with a helpless enemy. The free sneak attacks and the chance to further paralyze the enemy add up and the scripts never trigger.

    i had a problem where i hold-monster yaga sura before he gets has 1st damage and exits map to reappear with reinforcements; he just doesnt die, until he exits/comes back.
