Here are today's Dragon Age forum highlights, taken from the Dragon Age Official Forum. I caught you a delicious bass.

We're looking at including some form of crafting, though what form exactly it will take remains to be seen. With most MMORPG's, crafting is a full-time learn-by-doing proposition -- a model that doesn't really jibe with what we're doing, but we'd still like to have something that makes sense without being tedious.

Doubt there'd be fishing, though. Your friends can breathe a sigh of relief.

    Weapon Speeds, Fighting Styles

By default, seeing as you're fighting a boar and not another humanoid you're probably looking at "simple combat". That is, the interactions are not overly complex.

A great deal of how the combat plays out is really going to depend on what you do, and what kind of skills and specialisations you've made with your character, as well as what kind of situations arise out of the combat.

If all the characters are generalists, you could make some basic assumptions about the style of fighting that would come out based on the weapons. These are generalisations, and things could very well change.

Sword + Board: Character would probably take less damage, block and parry more though they wouldn't kill the boar incredibly quickly.

Longblade + Shortblade: Character would attack more frequently and do a bit more damage, though they'd be open to more damage than a shield user. This style would probably favour a more finesse style fighter.

Shortblade x 2: I'd love it if this character just died... personally I've always hated knife fighters. However, in essence... this would probably end up being fairly similar to the above example.

Two-hander: Slower attacks that do a fair bit more damage, could potentially deal a great bit more damage... however probably a bit more open to taking damage as well
