Since this show has spread internationally I'm guessing most of you who watch TV have seen it. Setting aside the fact that it's primarily a show that's unlikely to actually produce anything beyond TV entertainment, do you enjoy watching it? Love it? Hate it?

Here they're presenting the first localized season of it and despite my initial doubts, I'm finding myself watching it. Only after recording it though, the amount of commercials throughout is insane, so I need to be able to fast-forward through all that.

Oh, and a bonus question, do you ever vote for any of the contestants? I know this is the primary draw for some people but I've never voted for anyone in any show like that in my life - I consider it a waste of money.

It catches my attention from time to time. Usually because of the songs though, instead of the performers.

Yes, I watch from time to time (Dutch version, but sometimes I run into a clip from the British one on Youtube). Unlike all the other talent shows on tv, I find this one somewhat entertaining. All the singers focus more on image building than on making intelligent or original music, but it is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine.
