Uh, you do realize that it never really happened, right?

The first thing I would want is a big robe -- can't go running around naked. Second, a good pair of shoes.

After that, it depends how long I'd be there. If it's just for the afternoon, I'm guessing I'll want a camera. If it's for a long time, I'd take a Bible. I'd say my wife, but I don't think she is rightly counted as a "thing."

UI'd also like to note that that solar-battery powered laptop would also have all the FR-relqated material ever pubklished, as well as all the general D&D stuff.

And the power of statistical analsysis....

    @ Trydan

I'm going to assume that you have no idea what you are talking about, elsewise you would withdraw that statement. Australia produces some of the best of the worlds chocolates. Ever heard of Cadbury? Well its English, but we have a factory! Yeah, goddamn we rock. And Arnotts, the creators of the TimTam use Cadbury chocolate in their biscuits. As we all know, a TimTam will melt in ones fingers, due to the body heat of our bodies, which is 37 C. So, I find it highly unlikely that it is "s pumped full of chemicals to stop them melting in the 40+ degree celsius heat where they were made", considering they are melting at 37. This is assuming, of course, that the outside of our bodies is constant to the inside. So, before you go and offend the TimTam with your bigotted and ignorant comments, do some research first.

Yeah, a never ending packet of TimTams would be great.

    Bill Gates

He'd make me rich and famous by bringing the wonders of Windows to Toril!

If not that, then a library of Forgotten Realms novels. I'd be the wisest sage in the land, just let me find the vertical file...

    Bill Gates, eh?

I tink that'sd be a waste, someone would just banish him back to his home plane in the blink of an eye, the usual fate of fiends, yes?

    I'd suggest Linus Torvalds :D

Actually, scratch the food and drink! I'd just take a city. London, in fact. Yeah, I'd take London. Think of the possibilities. :) Ken Livingstone would become more powerful than Elminster!

I would bring a wand of teleportation...to get me out of this funky place where I don't belong...I've seen my stats, I need to get back to the 21st century world.

Oh, and if you want chocolate that will survive a nuclear blast...leave the Timtams alone and go for Hershey's...enough parafin to make a decent candle.

    @ Bombur:

What, you mean our world hasn't devolved from Forgotten Realms? Why, I should cast a fireball at your face for that! Better yet, I should bind 3 fireballs to a Spell Sequencer and blast that on you, with a meteor to boot! To think that someone has the audacity to claim Forgotten Realms doesn't exist, I tell you these people these days... Take Casey for example, he must've been there for he knows they use dollars just like us! How can you argue against that? :D

No really though, I'll fix my earlier statement. Arabwel and Abomination said it all. A laptop computer with all the Forgotten Realms material, literature, general lore and rules and all that were ever published. I'd then take the care of making so many different password protections to the computer that no magic save the one conquering all my knowledge and skills would ever be enough to get past the security. Then, I'd proceed to selling my services for the highest bidder. And probably end up dead before destroying the balance of Toril altogether.

I would bring my toothbrush because if there's one thing I hate, its stanky breath! Besides, I would have the best teeth ever!

Arr the toothbrush! Augh the choices, I can't stand all these choices! What about deodorant? Or decent shower gel? What about my electrical razormachine? I think I'll drop out of this, turns out there was more competition to my Desert Eagle .50 than I thought.

Then I would autokill kangaxx, get the ring, go home, and be able to hide in women's locker rooms, FOREVER!

    @Kemkon

Okay, I am going to stand over here now.

For the item that I would take back. Hmm. I would go with the solar laptop, with all of the FR stuff, but I would also make sure that it had an indepth history of industry, complete with scketches and plans. Fully into details, from the making of gears to gunpowder. The contents of thousands of books, zipped. ;) :book:

And then after, while I am sitting in my palace, I will have my men develop the toothbrush, deoderant and sneakers(can't be too comfortable). :D

[IMG] Soap - lots and lots of soap.

Most of the people on this planet haven't figured out hygiene - it must be a nightmare in Faerun! :)

    [Edit: My spelling is horrific]
