Well, I finally managed to get a copy of Fallout 2, but I can't get it to run on XP. I get the message "Can't Find/load text fonts". I've searched a bit to try to find the answer, but I can't find any one that seems to work. I also patched the game to no avail.

Edit: Hmm, nevermind, seems the minimum install fixed it. Can't really watch the cutscenes though because they're way too slow running off the disk, but at least it works.

Make sure it was the 1.02d patch you installed. Also use the windows compatibility feature and set it for windows 95. both of these fixed XP problems for me but I still on occasions get a black screen crash.

Word to the wise, XP is lame...I had to d/l a total of 23 or so patches or mods for my games when I got it, so make sure you already have the most utp patches installed, the compatability option doesn't always work (BGII: "charter cant talk seems busy" ring any bells?), as I said earlier; XP is evil.

weird I had no problems with Fallout 2. and Fallout 1 just had to be run in compatible mode. I still thinks XP is great
