Trials of Luremaster... Bug?

    I am doing the Trials of the Luremaster, and I’m stuck, although I think I did everything correctly.

    I’ve been to all the towers. I’ve flipped all the switches. I’ve descended all the stairs, defeated all the monsters, opened all the chests, and got all four “Tale” letters.

    I put the Holy Symbol where it goes, and went into the crypts under the Spider Room. I found all six keys, and cleaned out the whole dungeon.

    But then I go back outside, and the main gate is still locked…

    Now, granted, before I noticed what the levers did, I figured out where the Holy Symbol went on my own, and cleaned out the crypts. THEN, after not figuring out where to go from there, I found a Walkthrough and did all the Luremaster’s tests.

    I don’t have a Save point from before that. I hope my doing things out of order didn’t screw things up.

    Please help this troubled soul!

    Have you placed all the four tales into their corresponding crypts in the dungeon? That is what opens the doors to the castle interior.

    Read the stories carefully. Each makes a reference to which knight wielded which weapon in killing the dragon. Those are the clues as to which weapons to place in which crypts.

    Or you can just put all the scrolls in the first spot, wait for one to disappear, put the remaining three in the second spot, wait for one to disappear, etc...
