I just had an interesting event. I was in DR's new computer thread in techno-magic and whenever someone mentioned a piece of hardware it was bright green and said something like "Links have been added by Skimware".

I came here (to SS) to ask if this was a new feature and was told I wasn't logged in. I logged in and now the links are no longer there.

Anybody know if this is some sort of virus/malware?

Definately worth a complete visurs/malware scan. But sounds weird that it isn't active when you log in, if it is malware. Did you notice a black cat appear twice? like deja vu?

No it's not malware. It's a money maker, and shows only for those that don't have a registered account.

Heh, I actually forgot I even installed that back then... both SkimLinks and SkimWords have been making so little money it's hardly worth mentioning.
