Random question:

Does anyone actually use the chatroom on this site or am I just joining it wrong on my IRC client? I am terrible at using that thing lol.

I do. I am there whenever I have my laptop open. But the channel has been empty for the past year or so. The channel bot and registration are also gone. So it would seem that no one really cares for it anymore, not even the administrators.

Yeah, the bot is gone because I retired the computer it was running on after it broke down, and as it was serving as my router/firewall I replaced it with a more power conservative special purpose device instead of a computer.

And since the channel was pretty much dead anyway we decided not to try to find a new place to host it.

There was so little activity in the chatroom in the last few years that we've pretty much scrapped it. In the future, I might set up a plugin that will enable chat directly here, on the boards - as that's more likely to be at least moderately used.
