    Here are today's Dragon Age forum highlights, taken from Dragon Age Official Forum. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Currently, inventory is limited by size. Not weight. This may change.


    Will Dragon Age let Strength or some other attribute govern Carrying Capacity?

    would best be asked first before debating the merits of "realistic" item weight.

    Dragon Age may have no Strength attribute, no Carrying Capacity, a fixed Carrying Capacity, an Inventory based on size along versus weight, no items, or Carrying Capacity based on an attribute such as Strength.

    They may seem like simple questions with easily assumable answers, but since Bioware is creating their own system... is it wise to assume too much?

    What types of battles do you want to see in DA
    I will pipe in with something that we've noticed: when you have a party, battles against a single individual, no matter how powerful that being is, are pretty easy. The most challenging fights have always been party vs. party... and the only way to make an indvidual opponent tougher is to have them with allies (summoned or simply minions) or to give them ridiculous amounts of immunities or regeneration or other things which break the rules insofar as what a single being should have.

    But it's hard to justify always having multiple opponents, and you don't always have the space in an area to do that very well. And even if we do try to have multiple opponent battles, it's difficult to keep them lively and varied.

    Not impossible, mind you, and ideally one would hope that the game system itself would deal with this kind of balance issue... but we would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the matter (and, as chad asks for, thoughts on the specific types of battles you'd like to see.)

    Well, they could always block the PC from being helped by his party members. That's how the last moments of KotOR2 were made, for example.

    Yeah they could, like in BG2 in the Copper Coronet when you meet that Ruffian. Then agien having the main player fight alone too many times can get preaty old preaty fast.
