I got sucked into AD&D long ago, when I was 17 or so by a friend who had been playing D&D before hand. The 2nd Edition books had just come out that year and although I was skeptical at playing, it soon took me to a new level of gaming experience. I've been playing ever since and when I'm not playing, I keep in tune with everything happening with AD&D.
I've been a DM for about 7 years now and am currently running a Campaign of my own with 3 close buds who I used to play with in my early days of AD&D. We get together at least once a week and catch up on our lives and then forget them for about 4-6 hours while we play. Once you know the backbone of AD&D after playing pen and paper for so long, the rest simply falls into place. IWD is no different since they use the same rules (some modified) but otherwise, that's how I know so much or at least think I do. Sylvus |
