Can't get to chapter 6

I have done all I could do in chapter5 and want to get into lower Dorn's Deep and start chapter 6.
But when I enter the cave the area loading screen appears and after loading about 40 percent it doesn't go on. The harddisk keeps blinking but all I can do is reset my PC.
Using the MoveToArea(AR8001) cheat yields the same problem.
Deleting the cache or changing configuration doesn't help also.

I have installed IWD+HoW+TotL.(Full install)
Win98SE
CPU: K6-500
Graphic: Diamond Viper (Riva TNT)
192 MB Ram
I don't have stability problems with other games.

Another question:
Is there another solution for the freezing world map problem than using the movetoarea cheat ?

The problem is that I think it needs to be installed before HoW and ToTL... Installing it after might overwrite some files from the expansions.
