Damn Klauth!!!

Well, to Thee NWN Player, Will Thee give Advise of great wisdom to mine Fighter/Rogue 7/7 on how could I slay the feared Klauth? I beg thee!
I have ben vanquished 17 time in row by the red beast!

Str 14 (10) Dex 28 (20) Con 16 (12) Int 15 (12) Wis 10 (8) Cha 10 he is using the deadly quick and feat "weapon finesse".

Hmmm... 14 seems like a low level for Klauth, but the main idea is to make and give him the dead dragon sphere which will damage him heavily. Fire resistance is also nice.

I gave him the dead dragon sphere then I instantly ran towards the bridge and there I proceeded over it... when I reached the middle of the bridge I stopped to see the great Klauth and to my astonishment he was to large for the bridge he just stood there facing death while I nailed him wiht arrows.... A bug that I have exploited you decide (I thought so, so I decided to do it all over again and slayed him at my second try in melee action)

I thought the bridge would be too narrow for the dragon too. How disappointed was I when he walked along it and started hitting me hard?
The way I did it was the amazing use magical device skill, and useing 'shields' of summoned archons and mad dwarven monks

. Use them to distract him while useing spell breach to get his SR down, teleport back to town if need be to get the shields back as they die quickly, and then used soem cone of cold spells on him. He died. I grinned. I was happy as it made up for all the times he killed me. So I kept reloading the fight to do it over and over again to see how he liked it!

After saving the first time of course

My Henchman (Linu or Daelan ownz) cast harm on him AFTER i had given him the sphere with the dead Dragon essence... I owned him alot!!!

For a 7/7 F/T? I'd recommend summoning meat sheilds, stand back and use your sneak attacks with a ranged weapon. It would be a long shot, however I cannot think of anyother way to do it with a solo fighter/thief period.

On the other hand if you happen to be a solo lvl 1/11 paladin/sorcerer with a lot of scrolls I have plenty of ideas.

I love all the dragons' voices! And when I killed Klauth I had been trying for ages and dying lots. I actually sat there for about 5 minutes with my mouth open in shock, that I had killed him!

EDIT Does anyone know why when you talk to Aarin Gend for example, you can listen to his voice all conversation and with the dragons and suchlike, you only get to listen to the first screen?

The main NPCs like Aarin and Aribeth have full voiceovers, but that's it. Voiceovers cost a lot of money, especially when they have to translate it all in other countries, and record anew... So it's kept down to a minimum.

well, id beat him up like a piniata, but i can't get to him, don't know how, i'm a fighter/sorcerer at 9/11 str 55, con 53, dex 50, int 61...so would someone please explain to me how to get there, cuz i still don't know where he is or the third word of power

You must leave the village(i've forgotten it's name

i mean that one in 3rd episode)with exit next to the where Druid's stnads, and proceed to the area where Fire giants are, there is a lair Klauth awits for you ...

Anyway, from Beorunna's Well, leave the city going west. There should only be one way out of each area you enter from there. (Excluding various caves and such.) It's a simple matter of following the only paths available. Be sure to talk to the Gold Dragon holed up out side of his lair of course for a nice reward when you're done.
