Creating magic items

I assume you don't actually need to find the tome for a specific item in your game to be able to actually create it?

I'd therefore be interested in seeing which items other people have created, please? (No need to put in the details of how, just a description of the item will do).

Personally I've only so far created:

Staff of Power
Ring of Regeneration +4 - Damned nice for a fighter, pretty useless for a Sorcerer!.

Which brings on another question: Does the level of the caster affect the level of the created item at all? Just a thought since most spells of course become more powerfull as you go up in levels. Would be nice as my Sorcerer is now at the exp cap.

I assume you're speaking of creating items in Eltoora's lab, as opposed to the blacksmith? Regardless, I'm pretty sure the answer is no. I've never tried creating items in her lab however, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

how do I actually do the items? Is there a book somewhere that tells you the combinations? And do I talk to Eltoora for them to actually be made?

You find the tombs that Eltoora wants in chapter 2 to make items but you need some means of casting the required spells.
In chapter 3 there's another Lab but she only lets you use it if you are a bard, sorcerer or wizard in one class.
Each of the blacksmiths gives you a book with what you need in them when you talk to them.
There's nothing to stop you experimenting if you're patient I suppose

I put the items in the chest. i go away. i come back. the items are still there. what do i do to change them? Spells? and if so, what?

Cast the specified spell on the container with the items.

Has anyone got a list of the items you can make in wizards labs?

With components and spell primer if possible.
