Hey, I just got my swords I ordered way back, and wondered if it's possible to take classes in swordsmanship like martial arts and battling with the rapier.

Yes, I am sure you can find somewhere to take lessons. I have afew ornamentary swords and a double headed battle axe, some throwing stars, and a great deal of daggers and small weaponry, but no real fighting weapons. What kind of swords did you get?

Fencing might eb best for the rapier.
ALthough I never done it, I heard kendo is a good sword style. |

You have three options:
1) Martial arts (Eastern) with swords. Aikido is nice here for example. Kendo, as sir Belly says, isn't bad either. 2) Traditional fencing - sports style. Normally it's foil, epee and sabre, but rapier can be found still - only it's not that easy. 3) Mediaeval or renaissance style fighting. My favourite. As you will see in my "Jujutsu Anyone?" thread, there are Ken jutsu, Tanto jutsu, and Tameshigiri if you plan on using samurai swords. If you are planning on using any other sword, ask around at different martial arts training centers...they usually know where to go to find the right training, and if they like you, they just might tell you.

Lessons in modern fencing (Olympic-style) won't do you much good with ornamental, historical-style weapons. Look up your local Society for Creative Anachronism.

Near where I live, there is a Museum that offers classes in just what you want. Now all you have to do is move to Massachusetts. (or find a similar Arms and Armor Museum where you live that offers the same.

The closest thing I've ever had was some fencing I had done in when I was younger. There's a lot of fencing clubs around, I know that for sure.

well the swords are sting and glamdring copies from lotr =)
I guess some martial arts come closest in learning how to use such swords, unless I find a personal instructor. I'll look up the mentioned styles, thanks

Mediaeval sword-fighting was anything but style
It's not some touch'n'score - just grab the thing and wallop Sir Neighbour on the arse till he stops screaming. That's the whole philosophy. When you're done with that you could of course try some fancy Italian semi-artistic fencing.... Or blind-fighting. Or dual wielding. Or dex-based surgical cuts (my favourite). Or whatever
