Strategy for Ascension Final Battle

Can anyone post some tactics on how to do the last fight against the five? I've been raped too many times to be bothered to reload and just die on easy mode. I can't be bothered working it out at 2am

First of all, if you're evil make sure you've recruited Bodhi to your side and if you're good have Balthazar. I fought the Five half a dozen times and got my head handed to me on a plate until I went back to my previous autosave and took Bodhi along. Her level draining ability is critical in getting the better of the likes of Yaga-Shura.

A few things I found handy:

Lots of summons. As many as you've got. The Five are so lethal that you have to separate them for long enough to bring each one.

Don't kill any of them straight away (even assuming you're able to) because as soon as one (or maybe two) of them dies Melissan enters the frey and she's downright lethal.

Don't use Time Stop as both Melissan and Balthazar are immune to it. So unless you have a PC who can handle both of them together (!) you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Keep a few +6 weapons to hand at all times as Melissan is a big fan of Absolute Immunity and this is the only way to harm her.

Supposedly the Five can only be killed in the order in which you killed them throughout TOB. I don't know whether this is true or not but you certainly can't kill Melissan with any of the others alive.

Go for Ilasera first because her arrows of dispelling with ruin your mages' spellcasting. Physically she's also the weakest of them as well and will certainly go down a lot easier than the likes of Abazigal.

Beyond that, start praying...
