Please post here even if you are playing only the SoA part of the game, but have ToB installed. A while ago I decided to uninstall Baldur's Gate 2 and TOB because of one of those Assertion line problems. After uninstalling was finished, I realized TOB was still in my (control panel) programs. Now every time I try to do something like "uninstall" or "remove program" it just says "TOB has finished uninstalling, will now uninstall SOA". But then it says "it cannot access the program". Is there anyway I can completely get rid of TOB without using control panel's add/remove hardware, or is there a way to access the installing program without suddenly then going to the uninstall program? Thanks for all the help you guys can bring.
But now I cannot play TOB, and my last game was there... |

Do you have your save game files? If you do just go to the control panel and remove program. There doesnt seem to be any other solution, sadly. I have had similar problems with other program. If even remove program fails delete it completely manually

Try to reinstall SOA only, that should put the uninstall program back in. That way when you uninstall TOB it should go back to the SOA unistall program and run that to get rid of it completely. If that doesn't work (i.e. you can't install SOA) then delete TOB manually, first save your saved games in another folder, and run regedit and delete the Black Isle Key, as well as any Bioware keys. They should be in the Local_Machine Software part of the registry.
