Strange Sarevok Bug when entering ToB

I encoundered a strange Sarevok bug twice no, once with my halfling fighter-thief and now again with my halfling cavalier.
When entering my stronghold in the abyss the solar appears and talks to me.

Then Sarevok shows up and sais his initial sentence but nothing else. When I talk to him again, he just repeats this sentence. I can neither enter the first test nor make him join my party.

I however, solved it by un- and reinstalling ToB only and now it works. Anyone else encountered the same problem ?

Nope, but maybe he just doesn't like Halflings?

Seems like I'm a lucky one.

I encountered no bugs playing ToB (I don't recall any in SoA either). The only bug I stumbled upon was enemies spawning when you quit an area but I thought it was done on purpose so that you don't escpae.

BTW I thought only humans could be Paladins.

You're right, but Ragusa wanted a halfling paladin so he made one.

I had a bug too. I installe ToB over SoA (which had NO unofficial patches or anything) and none of the text showed up ANYWHERE. Text boxes, buttons, dialogues. So I un-and-re-installed. Is he maybe supposed to make a refence to your character's class next?

That's what I thought but when I read this I wandered whether there was some quest for lwaful good chars to become Paladins (I thought of Mazzy's description that she's as close to being a Paladin as a halfling can get).

Well, apart from a saving throw advantage, the main reason to choose a halfling cavalier was that a human pally was too boring to really interest me.
