Game becomes easy again!

I have all hard modes and play on insane and now in ToB, recently beat Demogorgon and Yagashura(both improved)and I am rather dissapointed. I do not know, maybe I use too much cheese or I am too powerful.

My party is:Big me, lvl14 cleric dualled into a mage now level 28! He rocks!

Fellow MP kensai, lvl 37
Immy lvl 25 or such
Jaheira Keldorn and Minsc(I don't remember the levels)

First of all, my PC is a bad-ass he kills tough guys fast, via TS+Improved Alacrity+and lots of orther spells, I have Robe of Vecna, AMulet of Power, Staff of Magi, and it auto-pauses when I cast a spell so...HE is tough! He can use cleric items, can cast all levels of cleric spells, and has big cleric HP.

Kensai, is one big bad boy, he casts mirror image with a shortsword, dual wields Clestial Fury+5 and Sanchudoku+4, when I imp.haste him he has 9 attacks per round(so GWW is obsolote) and he activates critical strike and smash everything fast and furious. Spirit armor protects him well enough, he has 19 con, (thanks to Lum's machine)pale green ioun stone, and an awesome 248 HP!

Problem is, game is easy again. I fought Improıved Demogorgon; I was hoping for a defeat, (Yes) he was tough; he casted insta-timestops, multiple DragonBreaths, and summones sooo many demons that I could not count. BUT, every member of the party was immune to fire(well we were hoping fiery demons so we were HEAVILY prepared!), his demons was no match for my fighters and Demogorgon was harmless enough. BLEAH! My fighters surrounded him, me&Immy washed him with AbiDalzim's and he was down quickly.

Imp.Yagashura, this HAD to be tough, LOTS of soldiers spawned and they just kept coming, Immy created 5 project images via Chain Contingency and they all summoned 3 planetars each, to a total of 12, and improved hasted everybody, including planetars. (OK, I did some cheese but I expexcted a TOUGH battle!)his weak soldiers were absolutely NO match for us, we slaughterd them soo quick! Then Yaga-shura came, we wounded him and he retreated. He came back, with cool-looking mages&clerics! Bingo! My PC created 4 images via CC, and one image casted a time Stop, Improved Alacrity,they were at my mercy! Released a nasty Remove Magic to get rid of their protections, then assaulted them with 5 AbiDalzim's, 2 comets(improved version), and 6 HolySmites, they all died FAST except YagaShura! Boy I was suprised I did so low damage to him, then remembered he has HIGH resistance to everything, but he was alone and we assaulted him, GWWing fighters, and 12 planetars and my images&Immy's continously released AbiDalzim's, poor, poor YagaShura, he could not even hurt one of my fighters, he casted some fiery spells to no avail, and died pretty fast.

Come to think of it, I could end his misery rather fast; if my PC casts TimeStop and then HARM=Automatic hit, reduced to 1HP! YAY! Am I right? Could this work? Then an allready easy gfight could become a walk in the park. Meh!

Anyway, as you see I think gamne is easy even with so many modes and insane difficulty. I will take on Improved Sendai and Abazigal now; I hope they are hard enough to worth a battle.

What do you think? Am I doing too much cheese or just damn powerful?

Have you installed improved Illasera and started a new game without importing? It's a pretty tough battle.

By the way, I'm just like you, I have a level 50 monk with all stats 25 (thanks to Machine of Lum the Mad) over 100% magic resistance (again thanks to MoLtM even though without it, it was like 93 or something) and over 350hp (thanks to Deck of Many Things). Very cheap. Combine my magic resistance with three hardiness (gives 40% resistance to physical attacks and I have nine of them), I'm pretty much invincible for a limited time

I had Imroved Irenicus, it WAS a challenge; but doable. Imp. Illisera is hard; but laughable after BigJonBon.

Maybe I should solo one day too! Now that is an idea!

Good idea. Try ToB solo all the way. I've done that a few times and its fun. It's harder of course but it helps develop your skills and tactics.
