Are the White dragon scales wearable by a thief? Becuase my kensai/thief wears it but all thief skills are functioning, and there aren't any penalties.

The white dragon scales are indeed unusual:

they are wearable by everyone except mages - my archer was able to wear them so they are considered leather.
they however had the scale mail/ chain mail animation - but when worn on my halfling thief they had no animation at all.
finally the are listed as chainmails (item code is chan-20), unlike the other plates which are eiher plates (red/ blue dragon scale) or leather (black dragon scales). They cannot be considered elven chain since they can be worn by an archer and iirc forbid use of mage spells.[/list]Odd though splendid little item
