Portraits for Non-playable NPCs mod v1.0 released!

Tal has now added the mod to the site in his recent (very impressive) update. Find it in the link below:

Nice! But will it cause sonflicts with my mods? Some of my mods already put portraits for some of the NPCs in your list; so I will have to avoid it, unfourtunately.

Silverstar - I'd advise you make sure that your mods are installed AFTER this one. That way, your mod will overwrite what this mod changes. Given that we are only dealing with portraits here, there shouldn't any conflicts at all.

Also - it is possible for you to download the pack and have a look at all the portrait choices just by browsing the folder (most of them are simply called their character name). If you REALLY are worried about conflicts, you can edit the .tp2 file and delete the changes made to the NPCs you already have portraits for.

EDIT: By the way, anyone who does download it, let me know of what you think about the portrait choices and if you don't like anyone of them, make a suggestion for inclusion in v 2.0

I have some trouble with your mod. When installing it loops. I say install, it installs, it's ok, but when installed it asks again to install. The WeiDo Log don't register this mod...
I've done this on a clean backup.

Shaitan, that's strange. It shouldn't do that. Do you have any hude non-Weidu mods installed?

This should work easily with anything... anyone else had this problem?

Hmmm... not sure why this has happened. The mod is very very simple, it simply copies .cre files and portraits to the override folder and assigns them. It does NOTHING else.

Shaitan, you should get this logged in your Weidu log:

~SETUP-NPNPC PORTRAITS.TP2~ #0 #0 // NPNPC Portraits

Make sure that you have both the NPNPC Portraits folder in you SoA folder and both the .tp2 file and the .exe file. When you double click on the .exe file everything should happen then.

Is everthing copying ok? Because if there are any errors at all it will roll back and the mod won't be installed.

When the mod installs, it gives an error and rolls back. Something with the Renal logo. Removing Renal from the tp2 file worked though. My game is not "clean": ease of use, ascension, Kivan, Kelsey and Saerileth are installed here.

I've had reports that the download it incomplete in some way (maybe this was in the data transfer), I emailed Tal with a new copy - hope this solves these problems.

Guys, I've found what the problem with this is. Simply edit Setup-NPNPC Portraits.TP2 in notepad and remove the line which says "COPY_EXISTING ~d0renal.cre~ ~override/d0renal.cre~
WRITE_ASCII 0x34 "renalS"

Then it will install. If one of the mods could add this note to the download page, I'd be most grateful.
