Did i ever tell you guys how much i HATE replaying a segment over, after i've already done it well? Well, i hate it to a pathological extent. Which brings me to two questions:
1. Which spells destroy the victim's inventory? I know Polimorph Other does that, Imprisonment and Disintegrate are obvious, and so is Flesh to Stone, i suppose. But what of others? More specificly, does Finger of Death destroy one's inventory? 2. What's the item code for the Mace of Disruption? {Better yet, now that i've read the thread on Sarles, what's the code for the improved version?} See, i was going around my usual business, killing handmaidens of Lloth for the academic interest of aboleth ambassadors - you know, the usual - when suddenly some idiot goes and casts Finger of Death on Minsc. after the battle is over, i raise him and search all over the place, and can't find his stuff! I can live without most of it, i guess, but not without ALL of it! Hell, even Lilarcor is not irreplacible, and i can give up the red dragon equipment with a sigh, et c, but the mace of disruption is something i'm really used to rely on, aspecially against vampires. Somehow, all the saves since well before saving Phaere are missing, and since i accidently left the house before i realized what happeend, the autosave is ruined too now. My last quicksave was too late, already after the battle. Meow. :=/ |

I don't think finger of death can do that, but none of my characters are killed by a finger of death so far, so I'm not certain. But I can add one more thing to your list: Nishruu can destroy one item from your inventory for each time it hits.

No, FoD doesn't destroy stuff; it should be in a pile where he died, regardless of you having left the room.
1. In addition to the spells you listed, any freezing spells like Cone of Cold can also turn the victim into an ice statue which shatters, destroying the equipment (and the NPC). 2. CLUAConsole:CreateItem("BLUN12"), BLUN25 for the IMoD. |

Thancue, but if FoD can't destroy the equimnet, how come i can't find the pile anywhere? Could it be a bug? Is there a way to make everything on the floor light up, like the [tab] in Neverwinter Nights, to make is easier to find? I scanned the entire area with my mouse, aspecially the hidden parts {where something's blocking the line of sight to the floor}, and still can't find it. :={

You can re-add all of Minsc's equipment to his inventory by Shadow Keeper (a save game editor, downloadable here on SP), it is very easy to use. Use it if you have too much trouble and you will solve your little problem in 2 minutes! Do miracles never cease?
Items may gradually dissapear from the ground if they stay too long, but I guess this is not the case. Heed Felinoid's voice, she speaks the truth as always. |

I've read other mentions about Minsc dying to a FoD, getting resurrected and having no equipment. Possibly a bug, but have you considered Boo is hoarding the stuff?
If you remember what he had, you can use the ingame CLUAconsole cheats to give you the appropriate items. It's easier to use than SK and you won't have the fear of adding the wrong thing. |

Hmm, yes, though i really shouldn't be so suspiceous, i must admit the thought, of Boo caching it all somewhere only he can find, did pass my mind. I explained him, inspite of Minsc's discouraging glares, that we're not gona return to the Ust Natha after a certain point, but he feigned innosence, pretending he can't imagine why would i be telling him this.
Kuemper: can you point me to the toher threads mentioning this bug? I'll go insteall ToB now, to try finding it with the tab. |

You also might try maxing out the Contrast and Brightness sliders on your game's Graphics screen. Even with the Tab enabled, it can occasionally be difficult locating a bundle of items using the default graphics settings.

I had no luck finding the threads about Minsc. I think Silverstar had similar problems with a Finger of Death and Minsc losing items. Maybe send a PM to Silverstar.

Oh I did not have such a problem before I think. Or at least as far as I can remember. It was Minsc being victim to a Disintegrate, courtesy of a lich, and it is a completely different (and sad) story.
Sometimes, item piles are hard to spot on the ground, if you don't have ToB. Just another reason to get the expansion! |

Well, disintegration has an excuse, it's supposed to disintegrate everything inclueding equipment. Installed ToB, and now i can't play SoA at all, ugh. I went an' started a seporate thread about it, though.

Umm, guys, i'm getting desperate here. I had my party rest, so that the bodies would be gone, and i still can't find the stash. I've literally searched every pixel of the place with my cursor. Is there a way to find out whether the stuff is even there? Like, is there a line i could search for in the saved game file's code, or something? And if it really isn't there, where could it go? Can it be in the exit area, so that whenever you put your cursor there it just shows the exit sign regardless of what's lying there, perhaps? If so, is there a way to retrieve it still? I even searched outside, as Minsc may have been panicked and could have been running away at the time of his death - still nothing...

Gosh, you are sounding desperate.
Do you remember what items Minsc had? You can use the CLUAconsole to recreate them with the proper codes. Try Dan Simpson's BG2 & ToB Full Item List, 7th from the bottom of the linked page. |
