Bonus spells: lvl 2-5 -> +1, lvl 1 -> +2 Resistances: Cold 6/- (16 when buffed up) Piercing, Slashing 1/- (11 when buffed) Spell Resistance 2/- (24 when buffed up) Number of Attacks: 3 -> Att. Bonus +16/+11/+6 (+20/+15/+10 when buffed up) Armor Class: 34 -> Base 10, Armor 8, Shield 2, Deflection 2, Generic 6, Expertise 5. Damage: 7-17 (14-24 when buffed up) +1d4 electric Major Skills: Concentration - 13; Knowledge - 23; Diplomacy, Hide, Intimidate, Open Lock - 8. Spells needed to buff up: Draw Upon Holy Might, Champion’s Strength, Iron Skins, Divine Shell, Spell Resistance, Protection from Fire (and Lightning). Throw in 5 Animate Dead, 3 Flame Strikes and Globe of Blades for offense and you get a full view of potential. Equipment so far: Warhammer +2 (+1d4 electrical damage) Shield of Fortitude (+10 HP) Boring Beetle Full Plate Cloak of Protection +1 Houndstooth Collar (immunity to Fear and Panic) Ring of Wise Ring of Protection +2 Bracers *CENSORED* Wyrm’s Maw (helmet with Cone of Cold ability) Boots of the North Other weapons (Fire Morningstar, Returning Axe, Long Bow of Spell Resistance, Longsword +2 (+1 cold damage)) are used when appropriate. yeah, zero sounds about right. You are level 19. That encounter is designed for characers around 11 or 12. A juvenile white dragon is only a CR 9 or so in the Monster Manual.

My characters are level 11. It seems ridiculous that golems encountered earlier in the game were worth thousands of xp, and a White Dragon is worth a mere 500. What a huge dissapointment after an intense battle.

The golems are considered very high challenge rating because they have a large number of immunities and resistances. If you know to switch to the particular weapons that hurt them, they aren't that tough. But on paper, they much harder than a juvenile white dragon.

What character editor did you use to get a 19 level by he end of chapter 3. I just finished the game and my characters were level 17.

He was playing a solo character. Its entirely possible that he got to level 19 without using any editor at all.
