The reason why it isn't running is because your computer does not meet the minimum requirements of the game. See below...
---------- System Requirements REQUIRED SPECS Intel Pentium II 350MHz or AMD K6-III/400MHz 64MB RAM DirectX compliant video card DirectX compliant sound card 4x CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP DirectX 8.0 or higher RECOMMENDED SPECS Intel Pentium III 500 or AMD Duron or Athlon processor 128MB RAM DirectX compliant video card DirectX compliant sound card 16x CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive Broadband (Cable/DSL) Connection for multiplayer Windows XP DirectX 8.0 or higher NOTE: For multiplayer gameplay, it is highly recommended that you install Icewind Dale II using the “Full” installation option. (1.5GB) ---------- This was taken from the IWD2 Readme file. |

Are you sure, Cryohydropyro, that the problem is the system requirements? Because, I've been playing IWD2 in computer with 300 MHz, 128 RAM and Windows 98 and the game works fine. Although, I'm not sure what video card the comp has...
Maybe you should try to adjust the game graphics, sounds and other things from the configuration program, BondariReloads. It can be found from the IWD2 main folder. |

@Tanthie
Quite... but not entirely. However, you maybe right that it might be because Bondari is playing it at settings greater than the power his PC can produce. Off the record, your video card seems to be a bit powerful... I 've read somewhere that video cards can add to the processing power of the CPU... something about an "over-clocking" thingy... Would you mind checking your card's brand for me? Thanks. EDIT: @ BondariReloads - Try checking the version of your DirectX. I don't know if it means anything, though. |
