    I think this is one of the best ideas yet! I love reading FR/DL, Martin and a host of others -- I'd be very interested in reading about new books -- as long as there weren't too many spoilers. ;) This would be a great addition to SP, imo. :D

    Excellent idea, maybe I'll get around to ranting at a few overrated books and pimping a few underrated ones ... but then, I am lazy, which is always an issue :p

    I usually peek inside the "what book are you currently reading" thread for reading material. I figure if people post the title there, chances are the book is enjoyable. If it wasn't, hopefully they made a nasty comment, or didn't put in the effort to post the book there.

    So in short, I think I would be interested in browsing a book review thread.

    What type of books are you looking at?
    Authors and genre. If everyone who posts on the "Which book are you reading?" thread starts a review, Booktalks may well be flooded.

    Question:

    When reviewing a second or third etc book in a series is it OK to use spoilers from the previous book(s) of course without spoiler from the book you are reviewing. In my opinion it would be best to give a small opinion on the whole series at the first book review so they know if it's worth reading. That way we can start with a small summary of the previous book(s)in the beginning of the next review. Otherwise it may be the case that the reviews within the series become very similar.

    Well, generally, there should be as few spoilers as possible. If you absolutely must spoil something, do it so that the people who've read it will know what you're talking about, but it'll be vague enough for others not to be a major spoiler. As for the rest of the stuff you wrote, yep, that's a good idea.
