It was released here last week and I'm going to the cinemas on Friday with a couple of friends, all of us big fans of both Jerry Bruckheimer and Will Smith. Can anyone suggest which may be better to see - King Arthur or I, Robot? It's a little difficult because in essence they both appear to be action films of some form or another with the only edge being that I,Robot appears to also be somewhat of a thriller.

I saw both and think they are both worth the money. If I had to choose I would go for King Arthur though. I really liked the more historically based interpretation of the Knights of the round table.

Just saw King Arthur, and I think that it's a pretty good movie actually. It might just be that I was tired, but I lost the "red line" sometimes

However, I recommend it

I hear the battle scenes for King Arthur aren't done well. Too much camera shaking or something.

Well, I can't recall the cameras being shaky, I only remember the fighting scene on the ice, it was very well made

I'd say King Arthur was the better of the two, but they're both really good. IMO, of course.

The Kilted Crusader will become famous soon enough

I'd agree with Mystra. King Arthur reminds me of Bernard Cornwell's Warlord series in that the Arthur tales are based in the Dark Ages.

Well, as I said to my sister after seeing it - 'I may not know much about King Arthur and all that, but I know enough to know that that wasn't it.

Overall, it was a good movie, but the whole thing simply dripped with butchery. If you're hyping something as a realistic interpretation, it would help if it was at least slightly realistic. Firing an arrow and hitting a man hiding in a tree from a few hundred metres away, who you can't see and don't know it there, doesn't strike me as realistic.

Still, it's very much worth seeing, but some parts just made me cringe. And the guy who plays Arthur has the personality of a stick.
